Ex-DIG’s son-in-law held in MPPEB scam

Yadav, who was earlier working with Jagadish Yadav — the key accused in the pre-medical test (PMT) and pre-PG entrance exams scam — was operating a separate racket from Gwalior. He had got 24 students passed in PMT and Pre-PG exams using fraudulent means.

A case was registered against him while he was on the run. According to sources, he had fled the country and was hiding in Singapore before returning to India recently.

Yadav, who had passed the pre-PG exam through the help of Jagadish Sagar, had completed his post-graduation from Gajara Raje Medical College Gwalior and was earlier posted at GA Hospital in the city. He was also running a private hospital in Gwalior.

Illegal assets worth Rs 9.7 crore found

In another brazen incident related to corruption, the Lokayukta police on Wednesday unearthed illegal assets to the tune of around Rs 9.7 crore during raids in Bengaluru, Bidar, Davangere and Gulbarga on 19 premises belonging to government servants.

Criminal cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act have been registered against the officials, Lokayukta police said.

The officials possessed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, it said in a statement.
