AS THE nation celebrates the National Science Month, culminating on February 28, which is held as the National Science Day, the Girls' High School and College organised a science exhibition in the college auditorium on Wednesday with a message to ‘Nurture nature for our future’. This is also the theme selected by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for 2006.

Children expressed their opinion on the theme by making and displaying various models and charts. All the efforts were commendable, but a few that deserve a special mention are— generating electricity from cow dung by Shivani and group and Re-cycling of shower water by Aditi Agarwal of Class VIII B, Rh-incompatibility by Ashika Chouhan and group and Reflex action of knee-joint by Veethika Mishra and group of class XIA, Electronic code lock, logic gates, Hydraulic power generation, wind-mill by class XI-B and many other items from students of classes VIII, IX and XI. An interesting addition to the exhibition was the environmental education exhibit put up by the junior section of the school.

It displayed an array of activities and projects. Information was brought to life using short skits and monologues. Projects done by the children for 'keep your city clean' and say 'no to polybags campaign' was well illustrated through informative charts and models.

The chief guest and parents appreciated the hard work and efforts of the students and teachers.
