Explosive materials seized near Thiruvananthapuram

The material were identified as sulfur, aluminium powder and gun powder, police sources said.

Two bags of explosive materials were seized by police from a KSRTC bus and one person was taken into custody in this connection at Neyyattinkara near Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday evening.

Police suspect that the explosives were meant for use in quarry.

The material were identified as sulfur, aluminium powder and gun powder, police sources said.

The seizure was made by the Highway Police during a search of the bus coming to Thiruvananthapuram from Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu.
