Fire breaks out in terminal 1-B of Mumbai airport

A minor fire broke out in terminal 1-B of Mumbai airport this evening, fire brigade sources said.

A minor fire broke out in terminal 1-B of Mumbai airport on Thursday evening, fire brigade sources said.

However, no one was injured in the mishap, the sources said.

The fire broke out in an air-conditioned shed in the terminal building, officials of fire brigade department said, adding it was extinguished and brought under control.

Two fire tenders and two water tankers rushed to the airport to extinguish the fire, the sources said.

However, no major damage in the terminal building was reported.

The cause of the mishap was not immediately known, however, authorities suspect that short circuit to be the cause of the fire.
