Former Haryana minister dies

Vinod Mariya, a former Haryana minister died at his Bank colony residence at Tohana town on Thursday.

Vinod Mariya, a former Haryana minister died at his Bank colony residence at Tohana town in this district on Thursday, his family said.

Mariya was Medical Education Minister in the Bansi Lal cabinet from 1996 to 1999 before the government was toppled by some dissident MLAs.

According to family sources, Mariya had gone to sleep last night but he was found dead in the morning.

Heart failure is being suspected as the cause of death.
