Forty-five people have been injured when two buses fell in ditches in two separate mishaps in Assam.

Forty-five people were injured when two buses fell in ditches in two separate mishaps in Assam's Dhubri distric on Friday.

Official sources said that the driver of a bus coming from Gauripur in Dhubri to Guwahati lost control of the vehicle that fell into a ditch at Chapar injuring 30 people.

The condition of seven people was serious and they were admitted to Dhubri Civil Hospital.

In another mishap in the same district, an Assam State Transport Corporation bus, also coming to Guwahati from Dhubri, fell into a ditch at Tillapara injuring 15 persons and the condition of five of them were critical.

The cause of both the mishaps was being attributed to low visibility due to early morning fog.
