Four CRPF jawans injured in grenade attack

Unidentified armed militants hurled a grenade at a CRPF bunker in Srinagar today injuring four security personnel.

Unidentified armed militants hurled a grenade at a CRPF bunker in Srinagar on Sunday injuring four security personnel.

A police spokesman said some unknown militants hurled a grenade at the bunker of CRPF's 157 Bn at Reck-Chowk Batamaloo. "Four CRPF personnel were injured in the attack," said the spokesman. All the injured perosnnel were hospitalised.

The attack has come a day after the Hizbul Mujahideen announced a ceasefire in plains in Kashmir.

"We have stopped our activities in plains and those areas where protests are going on. We will take on the security forces in the hinterland," said HM chief Syed Salahuddin in a statement to the media.
