Four ex-union ministers file papers in TN
Former Union Ministers KV Thangkabalu, R Dhanushkodi Adithan, R Prabhu and AK Moorthy filed their nominations.
Former Union Ministers KV Thangkabalu, R Dhanushkodi Adithan, R Prabhu (all Congress) and AK Moorthy (PMK) were among 103 candidates, 50 of them independents, who filed their nominations for the May 10 Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.

While Thangkabalu filed his papers from Salem, Adithan did so from Tirunelveli and Prabhu from Nilgiris on the fifth day of nominations, taking the total number of those in fray so far to 261.
Moorthy, former Minister of State for Railways in the Vajpayee Government, filed his nomination from Chengalpattu.
DMK's Radhika Selvi, widow of Nadar community leader Venkatesh Pannaiar who was killed in an encounter by police last year, entered the fray from Tiruchendur.
Among other prominent candidates who filed their papers today were CPI(M) nominees P Mohan (Madurai) and AV Bellarmine (Nagercoil), CPI's K Subbarayan (Coimbatore) and Thol Thirumavalavan of Dalit Panthers of India (Chidambaram), who is contesting the Reserved seat on the Janata Dal (U) symbol as part of the People's Alliance.
For the lone seat in Pondicherry, BJP candidate, Lalitha Kumaramangalam, filed her papers.
In the Mangalore (SC) assembly constituency where a bypoll is being held on May 10, two candidates filed their nominations.
