Four found dead inside house in TN

Venkatesan, a casual labourer, is believed to have poisoned his three children before consuming the poison himself.

Four members of a family, including three children, have been found dead inside their house near Salem, police said on Thursday.

Venkatesan (35), his children Ayyanar (10), Sangeeta (8) and Srinivasan (6) were found dead inside their house in Omalur late on Wednesday night by their neighbours, Superintendent of Police G Bhaskaran said.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Venkatesan, a casual labourer by profession, had a quarrel with his wife, who had left for her house four days ago, Bhaskaran said.

Upset over this, Venkatesan is believed to have poisoned his three children before consuming the poison himself, he said.
