Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, national president of the Bhartiya Samaj Party, Omprakash Rajbhar, said, Adhikar Manch would fight against the biased attitude of the State and Union governments. Representatives of all four regional parties were present during the Press conference.
“A grand rally will be organised in Varanasi on February 15 to make people aware about their rights,” he said and added that former prime minister VP Singh was the patron of Adhikar Manch and would address the rally in Varanasi.
He criticised said both the governments were safeguarding the interests of capitalists.
“Capitalists are getting bank loans for buying luxury items at an interest rate of around 6 percent whereas farmers are getting loans for purchasing fertilizers, pesticides and other farming equipment at the interest rate of around 12 per cent,” he said.
Rajbhar also strongly opposed the reservation policy of the State and Union governments. “Deserving candidates are being deprived from reservations whereas richer ones are taking its benefits,” he said and demanded a new reservation policy based on economic survey.
He also dwelt in support of uniform education policy and said that time had come when the Union and State governments should review their education policies.
Education should be free upto class XII for poor and downtrodden children.
Rajbhar lashed out at the Samajwadi Party-led state government for the increasing crime graph across the State. He demanded immediate dismissal of the State government and imposition of President rule.
He said that Adhikar Manch would also ensure its effective participation in the next Assembly election.
