Gaur gone but Gokul Gram still on priority

FORMER CHIEF minister Babulal Gaur’s pet schemes Ayodhya Basti and Gukul Gram have not been given a go by under the new dispensation as was being speculated. They are alive and kicking. It was evident in the Bhopal Commissioner’s meeting with the Collectors of the division.
Significantly, Finance Minister Raghavji categorically mentioned the two scheme while reading out his budget speech in the Assembly on February 21 last.
Bhopal-Hoshangabad Commissioner K K Singh today directed Collectors of the division to complete all the works of infrastructure related to Gokul Gram and Ayodhya Basti schemes.
He was reviewing development works of the division in a meeting at Commissioner office. Singh also directed to take action against officials who are not taking interest in developmental activities.
He asked the field officers to regularly monitor mid-day meal scheme and ensure that more children are attracted towards schools.
While reviewing progress of works being carried out under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Singh directed the field officers to complete incomplete works by the end of this fiscal.
Giving instructions for fast disposal of land transfer cases, the Commissioner said that undisputed cases should be resolved soon and concrete efforts should be made for solving disputed cases without unnecessarily troubling beneficiaries.
He also emphasised on revenue recovery and for holding grievance redressal camps.
Collector Bhopal, Sanjay Shukla; Collector Betul, Chandrahas Dubey; Collector Rajgarh, G P Tiwari; Collector Raisen, Arun Kumar Bhatt; Collector Sehore, S K Mishra; Collector Vidisha, R K Mathur; Collector Harda, D P Ahirwar and Collector Hoshangabad, Faiz Ahmad Kidwai were present during the meeting.
