Ghanikhan's condition continues to be critical

The veteran Congress leader's condition looked up slightly this morning but once again aggravated.

The condition of former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader ABA Ghanikhan Choudhury continued to be critical as he was still on ventilation, sources said in Kolkata on Thursday.

According to sources in the nursing home, Choudhury was having serious problems both in his heart and kidneys.

The sources said he was also put on dialysis.

The veteran Congress leader's condition looked up slightly this morning but once again aggravated, sources added.

Choudhury, admitted in the private nursing home on April 3 following abdominal pain, was suffering from acute respiratory problem on Wendesday night.

The heavyweight political leader of Malda district was flown to Kolkata on Monday by an Air Force helicopter after he fell ill at his residence.

A team of AICC members visited Choudhury in the nursing home on Thursday.

Union Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi also went to see Choudhury on Thursday morning.
