At about 10.30 am, he reached the shop to open it for the day on his motorcycle. The gold was kept inside a bag hanging from the two-wheeler’s seat. Soni left the bag hanging on the motorcycle and went to open the shutter locks of the shop. In the meantime, however, the suspected children filched the precious ornament from the bag and fled.

Soni noticed the theft when he walked back to the motorcycle to take his bag. He immediately raised an alarm and rushed to the police station to inform about the theft. Passers by and neighbouring shop owners told the cops that they had noticed three children running away with some bag just before Soni had raised an alarm about being robbed.

On the basis of that information, the police have launched a hunt for the suspected children and a case has been registered. Police hope that if the children were involved in the theft, they would be nabbed very soon.
