Grenade hurled at private house

Militants lobbed a grenade at the house of a businessman identified as K Brajakumar in Manipur's Imphal west district but it failed to explode, official sources said today.

"Militants lobbed a grenade at the house of a businessman identified as K Brajakumar in Manipur's Imphal west district but it failed to explode," official sources said on Saturday.

The grenade was found in the premises of the house belonging to the elder brother of former Manipur chief minister Radhabinod Koijam at Thangmeiband area near here yesterday.

"The grenade was later defused by bomb experts," the sources said adding no individual or group has so far claimed responsibility.
