Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Thursday made a fresh offer for talks on the issue of reservation and defended her suggestion for separate quota for the community under the nomadic tribe category saying it was very much under the constitution.

She said she had sent a letter to the Centre recommending separate reservation for the Gujjars within the ambit of constitution.

Raje's remarks during an interview to a TV news channel came in the backdrop of Union Law Ministry's reported rejection of her proposal saying it was constitutionally not possible.

Raje sought to reach out to the Gujjars saying they are people who require the support of all other sections of society for their all round development.

She said she favoured a thorough discussion on the issues of reservation and terrorism so that concrete solutions emerge to address these two problems.
