The Gurgaon helped their Maharashtra counterparts by locating the address of the techie, Chakarpur village, DCP (Gurgaon East) Satheesh Balan said. “Maharashtra police officials filed the necessary papers and carried out basic formalities at DLF police station to take the techie back to Maharasthra. We are neither concerned with the case nor are we investing into it,” he added.

The matter came to light when Congress workers in Pune noticed the remarks and lodged a complaint with the local police in December 2007. The police approached Google, zeroed in on the techie in Gurgaon with his IP address.
