The Governor not only underlined the need for developing a fool-proof system for correction of answer books but also directed the Chief Minister for a thorough probe into the scam and stringent action against those found guilty of sending answer books of BA, MA, MBA and other courses to the students of class V and VIII for evaluation.

The Meerut University answer books were recovered in large number from Agra where the same were fraudulently sent for evaluation by the Agra University registrar and his son. The police registered a case but the university officials, allegedly involved in the scam, are absconding.
