Palam Vihar residents said authorities told them that the nearby power substation is overloaded, which means all the claims about feeder systems being segregated for domestic and commercial supply have come out false.
“When we asked for an explanation, officials said the 440-KVA substation in Daulatabad is overloaded,” said Sunil Yadav, resident of Palam Vihar.
With the weather turning from bad to worse, residents in other areas also are suffering during the day when there is no power.
Residents of DLF Phase 2 are also suffering. “We bear it in the day, but we can’t sleep in peace without power,” said RP Agarwal of DLF Phase 2.
“We are setting up a new circuit for the supply line from Jhajjar. We had to shut down the existing circuit. The problem will be solved within three days,” said Subash Deswal, SE, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
