The Seagram party at Agni, the Park, set the mood for LIFW. While designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Rina Dhaka, Raghavendra Rathore stayed away, to prepare for the fashion week, others like Rocky S, Manish Arora, Vijay Arora, Nikhil and Shantanu Mehra were in party mood.

The Seagram party at Agni, the Park, set the mood for LIFW. While designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Rina Dhaka, Raghavendra Rathore stayed away, to prepare for the fashion week, others like Rocky S, Manish Arora, Vijay Arora, Nikhil and Shantanu Mehra were in party mood, as was FDCI Director Vinod Kaul, Director, FDCI. "Things are more professional this year. The emphasis was on business and retailing," said Kaul.

Ravi Krishnan, Director (fashion), Asia Pacific, IMG, said: "The preparation are more in order this year. You have to remember that Indian fashion industry is still young. People still prefer local designers unlike elsewhere where international brands are hot."

Seen enjoying the party were models Carol Gracias and Monikangkana Dutta. Raving about her modelling stint in Paris, Dutta said: "I picked up vital tips there. Surprisingly there's no choreography on the Paris ramps. I'm enjoying Paris though I had a tough time convincing my dad."

Others at the do included models Bhavna, Shruti Chauhan, Sharan Misra, and Indrani Dasgupta who said she was excited about the new breed of young designers participating in this year's fashion week.

The party rocked on till the wee hours as DJ Roch took control of the console and struck the right chord with house and retro music that left the crowd swinging happily.
