Both teams matched each other in every aspect of the game, but the Dutch were fortunate to surge ahead through a drag flick by Wouter Jolie.

The German defence, although immovable, has shown less stability than their Dutch counterparts led by the experienced Guus Vogels.

Germans would look to up their offensive by a notch in the second half to counter the current leaders of their pool.
