Gurgaon and Delhi residents, who wish to travel to Chandigarh in luxury air-conditioned buses, can now have a sigh of relief.
The Haryana Roadways is going to start its super-luxury Volvo bus service from Wednesday.
Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would flag off the luxury bus service and take a test ride on Tuesday from the Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.
According to officials, these buses would make 30 trips between Delhi and Chandigarh and nine trips would be extended to Gurgaon.
The distance between Delhi and Chandigarh would be covered in about five hours while it would take another hour to cover the 35-km distance to Gurgaon. The passengers would also be supplied with refreshment and newspapers inside the buses, officials said.
Fare between Delhi and Chandigarh has been fixed at Rs 510 but those travelling to Gurgaon would have to shell out Rs 600. There would be only one stoppage at Karnal.
