1 Containers are key: Instead of one giant box, use small containers to pack the decorations by separating them. Eg: Christmas decorations in one box, lights in another and so on.

2 Bubble play: You can even let go of boxes and manage pretty well with bubble wrap. Take a big roll and just pack the decorations in pieces of it, and put in storage.

3 Learn to let go: When you take down your decorations after Chirstmas it also happens to be a good time to ditch some of them. After you take everything down and before you pack it, start to get rid of the stuff you wouldn’t want to use next year. Eg: Those tree ornaments which you’ve been using for too long.

4 Fight moisture: Remember in summers it gets humid and your decorations wrapped in plastic containers will get ruined because of moisture getting trapped in the bags. So slip Silica gel packets in the plastic bags and containers along with the decorations liek wreaths etc.

5 Protect the valuables: Expensive decorations like glass ornaments should be stored separately to avoid breakage. So, store them in the new egg containers boxes in which the eggs are sold now. The material is soft and will ensure nothing breaks.
