The duo identified as Patrick Emario and Ayebare Donald, from Uganda, were arrested by Central Crime Station while they were moving suspiciously in a car near a hotel on Wednesday, Additional Police Commissioner (Crimes) K Narasimha Reddy told reporters.

It is found that Patrick Emario is a habitual peddler of cocaine and other similar types of preparations and used to make small quantities of the banned substances and sold cocaine to customers at Rs 2,000 per gram, he said.

"The duo were buying drugs from Rajasthan border and selling it to youth in Banjara Hills and Panjagutta areas here," Reddy said adding Emario was jailed previously in 2007 after he was found in possession of narcotic substance at Bollarum.

The duo were staying in Hyderabad without proper documents since April this year and their passports and Visa particulars were being verified by CCS police, Reddy said.

The duo were being produced before a local court for judicial remand and further investigations were under way, the police officer said.
