Tell us something about your collection.
My collection is very flirtatious, feminine, modern, sexy and flowing. It is for the ultra chic woman with lots of chiffons, gossamer, nets, wrap and swirl. The silhouettes are very slink and skim where georgettes and sheer fabric play to the female form giving it an alluring glimpse.

What innovations in fabric and design will we see in your creations?
The trademark look will be that of a body hug - somewhere over and somewhere under the flow - which makes the garment look sexy. Also there is an element of sumptuous gathering to playful new shapes. There is an air of easy elegance with layering and crafty embellishments that create an earthy, innocent effect.

Where did you draw inspiration for this collection?
The vast ocean and sea - a permanent fixture as well as the highpoint of Mumbai - was the inspiration for this collection. I call it 'Ocean Breeze' after the colour and form of the entire look. There are plenty of ocean blues like aqua and sea greens in the collection. Lots of skirts, dresses and separates can be mixed and matched or teamed together for that flirtatious look.

Since this is your first time at LIFW, what are your expectations from the event?
I hope to meet a lot of buyers and I'm looking forward to the entire experience.

Do you see the LIFW as a serious platform for doing business or one big fashion carnival?
Since this is my first time at LIFW, I will probably need to see things for myself before I can comment. But from what I have seen and heard so far, it definitely looks like one of the most organised fashion events in India. This time the stalls, the media and the business transactions are all being handled very well and I do look forward to some prospective selling and meeting potential buyers in due course.

Who according to you is most stylish person in India and why?
I think Gayatri Devi is very stylish for the way she carries herself at this age.

Is there any Indian personality you would like to dress up and why?
I would like to dress up Rani Mukherji because she is very beautiful and looks very good in Indian wear. I feel I can bring out a lot more to her personality by way of some chic western wear in her wardrobe and accessories.
