‘I’ve done a lot, but it will take time for results to show’
Though I have not been able to fulfil all the promises I made at the time of elections, I have initiated all the projects promised but it takes time to yield results, says Seema Pahuja, Independent candidate from Ward No 11.Updated: Jul 04, 2012 01:49 IST
Residents allege that you are least bothered about the problems of the ward?
These are baseless allegations. Till last year in Sector 7, pocket D was facing the problem of water-logging and I initiated work on storm water drains. Of the five parks in sector 7 extension, two parks are now equipped with canopies — one was sponsored by me.
Are you happy with the development work carried out in the last one year?
I am happy with my performance. Though I have not been able to fulfil all the promises I made at the time of elections, I have initiated all the projects promised but it takes time to yield results.
Most residents say that you are unapproachable after winning the elections?
This is not true. In the last one year I have hardly spent any time with my family. After winning elections I decided that now I have to live for the people. People are free to call me anytime.
The main problems of the area – erratic water supply and poor roads – persist despite your being in power for a year.
The area under Huda does not have water problems. It is only the area under MCG which is facing water problems. But I am trying to get the new pipeline laid.
