Computer giant IBM is setting up an information centre in Nagapattinam to help the district administration in organising supply of relief materials for the victims of tsunami.

IBM personnel had already reached Nagapattinam to set up the system, under which a control room would be established at the district collectorate to coordinate the relief supplies, Tamil Nadu IT Secretary and Zonal Coordinator for the relief work Vivek Harinarayan said on Thursday evening.
The IBM volunteers, with radio sets, would pass on information on the specific needs of every affected place. All the requirements would be fed to a computer at the control room and the relief materials would be dispatched according to the requirement.
