“We have information from internal sources that candidates take banned drugs before such rallies to enhance their physical performance,” said Col JS Gondara, zonal recruitment officer, Kota zone. “If anyone is found using banned drugs during the test, he would be barred from participating in the rally.”

This will also be the first time the army will only be accepting online applications from candidates. The zonal recruitment officer has informed that all candidates desirous of participating in the rally would have to apply online and no application would be accepted in hard copy.

A team of the army recruitment office was in Ajmer on Tuesday to chalk out preparations for the rally.

Learning from past experiences, to avoid any hooliganism on roads and inconveniences caused to local people by returning candidates, we have made elaborate arrangements with the help of the civilian administration, said Col Gondara.
