Water flowed over Chandrabhaga-pul (bridge) and bridge has been closed for traffic as a precaution.

Area near the bridge was evacuated.

Low-lying colonies near Kalalkui road, Masjid, Gangaurghat, and Shekhar basti were flooded and people were asked to shift out.

Traffic on Indore-Khandwa road was disrupted at Barwaha bridge. Rain also paralysed normal life in adjoining Mahu city in the Indore division, and several rivers were flowing over danger mark, officials said.

Raining will continue over the next two days in the division due to low pressure area, a met forecast said.

Police said there was no loss of life in the division due to the rain so far.
