'India's trade unions too political'

Indian trade unions tend to be political and thereby hold down the economic productivity and progress of industry. Responsible trade unionism can be of constructive help. A certain freedom to adjust workloads can greatly help and government should make sure that trade unions do not obstruct honest management. India has to compete globally now and need some quick adjustments in work assignments and wage structures.
