According to a report in the New Zealand Police website, Nikita Bhai, a resident of Sandringham Road at Mt Roskill was last seen at her home around 1:30 pm on June 16.

She reportedly had an argument with her brother following which she left her house wearing a pink round-necked tee shirt and blue cargo pants. She was not wearing any shoes.

The fact that she left her home poorly clad in the New Zealand winter is just one of many concerns.

"Further to that, Nikita is a sickness beneficiary but left the house without any medication," the report quoted Sergeant Matt Srhoj of the Avondale Police as saying.

"The family tells us she's not a particularly social young woman and that she spends most of her time at home. She has no money with her and we're told her disappearance is definitely out of character," he said.

The report described the woman as Indian, standing about 163 cm tall, having black hair with some blonde streaks, of solid build, having brown eyes and a large mole on her upper lip.
