In a press statement, Sood said residents living on the upper floors of Ansal Enclave were demanding removal of illegal boundary walls constructed by ground floor flat owners. He said owners of such 24 ground floor flats were given sufficient time for removal of boundary walls after the High Court order.
The Mayor said the High Court did not give any respite to these 24 flat owners and found that the boundary walls were illegally constructed. He said the BMC removed the boundary walls more than three months after the High Court order.
The BMC functions transparently as far as removal of illegal construction and encroachments are concerned, the Mayor said. On Saturday, Bhaduri, Samajwadi Party leaders had alleged that Bachchan family was being targeted right from New Delhi to Bhopal. Sood also said that he respects Indira Bhaduri as honourable senior citizen of the State capital.
The BMC team had removed boundary walls of 24 flats, including that of Jaya Bachchan on September 14.
