An International conferences on 'WTO and its impact on developing economies' was held at India International Center on February 17th and 18th.

With the primary objective of addressing the immediate issues for a quality forum highlighting the achievements and improving on short comings, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management & Research (BVIMR), New Delhi had organised this two day conference.

Minister of state In Prime Minister's Office Shri Prithvi Raj Chauhan was the chief guest of the conference who discussed many schemes and India's position at WTO and India's position at WTO and discussed how India is developing, what is the growth rate and what is the proposed growth rate, what are the focus areas for development.

Dr. PatangRao Kadam, Vice Chancellor at Pune was also present at the conference and also presented a paper he said " In my opinion, it would not be advisable for India to keep itself away from these new developments at the international level".

Juhi Sud and Igor Bely from Belgium Embassy, Luka High Commission Australia, Balduino, from Brazil Embassy, Upali Mahanama, from Shri Lanka, Dr. Khwaja Amjad Saeed from Pakistan, Adrian Teo from Singapore. These were the dignitaries present in the conference who also put their point of view.

One of the student of BVIMR Vikas Kataria persuing his MBA Finance also presented the paper where he discussed the working and functions of WTO
and his focus area was 'whether PPN should be introduced in WTO policies or not'. In which he discussed all the pros and cons of the policy.
