Invigilators dictating answers to examinees is a trend that has touched an all-time high in UP Board exams with the copying mafia luring invigilators to write answers for a price.
At one exam centre, invigilators were too engrossed dictating answers to notice the presence of a flying squad in the school. Five invigilators were caught red-handed from two exam centres dictating answers. Besides, three were removed from examination duty on grounds of suspicion.
Joint director education SVB Singh caught the five invigilators from the PMS High School and Bright Start Convent. When Singh and his squad reached PMS High School, two invigilators were caught dictating the answers from a room.
One of them was caught unaware as he continued dictating answers even while the JD was present in the room. Three teachers were held from Bright Start Convent School. The joint director asked centre incharge of the schools to lodge FIR against the teachers.
At New Public Inter College, a lady teacher was unable to produce enough proof establishing her identity. Singh directed centre incharge to take proper action against her if she failed to produce proper documents. Here, the joint director matched answer sheets of several examinees. There was a definite pattern in their copies. But he let them off for want of evidence.
