The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is set to begin a fresh stir for greater Jharkhand comprising 29 districts spread over Chattisgarh, West Bengal and Orissa besides the present geographical boundary of Jharkhand.

The announcement is likely to be made on January 27 at the 8th party convention in Deoghar. The three-day convention will be held without the party president Sibu Soren, who has been lodged in Dumka Central Jail in connection with the murder of Sashi Nath Jha.
Feeling "humiliated" following the arrest of the party chief, the JMM feel that it is the right time to reinvigorate the demand of greater Jharkhand.
