"To compete with the best players she has work on her fitness. She also has to improve on mental toughness," Medhat told PTI.

Medhat, a professional player-turned-coach from Egypt, said Joshna needed to choose her shots correctly.

"She needs to develop hunger for victory. Whatever I have seen in the past one week I feel that she needs to play the right shots at right time," he said.

Mohammad said it was too early to read much about these observations.

"I have been with her only for a week. I would like to know her as a person. We both need to know each other and develop an understanding after which things can be worked out."

"She already is among top fifty and can go higher through hard work," said Mohammad, whose trainees have played in British Open and other big tournaments.

"I first saw her in world juniors in Egypt four years back and then in Asian Games, two years back. She has the technique and has progressed a lot. With Mittal Trust helping her, now she can move up," the coach said.
