All rounder Jacques Kallis will miss South Africa's Twenty/20 clash with Australia in Brisbane on Monday, coach Mickey Arthur said.

Kallis, who has had an elbow injury all season, has been rested along with pace bowler Andre Nel and all rounder Justin Kemp.

Kemp missed the second and third tests against Australia with a shoulder injury, while Nel sustained a foot injury in the eight-wicket third test loss to Australia in Sydney.

Arthur told reporters all three would be available for the triangular one-day series against Australia and Sri Lanka, starting in Melbourne on Jan 13.

Off spinner Johan Botha, whose bowling action has been reported to the International Cricket Council, has also been included in the squad for the match at the Gabba.

It is the first Twenty20 full international match to be played in Australia.
