The landslips blocked the Dite-Dime-Migging-Tuting and Tuting-Bona-Gelling roads at several locations due to sinking and formation of breaches at more than 10 places.

Both the roads belong to the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF).

A 60 meter long stretch of the Dite-Dime breached near Tuting last night has brought traffic to a standstill, the sources said.

Migging-Tuting road is also blocked at several places following heavy landslides. The road connecting Tuting to Gelling is also affected at several points.

Restoration work was affected by continuous rainfall and occurrence of landslides at new locations and underground seepage of water, the sources said.

Yingkiong-Mariyang-Pasighat PWD road has been restored for light vehicles, sources added.
