Live in harmony, says President Pranab to AP and Telangana

President Pranab Mukherjee suggested that the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana set aside their differences and live together in peace and harmony on Friday during a routine visit through South India.

President Pranab Mukherjee suggested that the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana set aside their differences and live together in peace and harmony on Friday during a routine visit through South India.

Stating that Hyderabad was an important region for the entire country, and a role-model for leaps in Information Technology, Mukherjee said that it was important for the sake of the nation both states had an amicable relationship with one another.

"We can choose our friends but we can't choose our neighbours," he said. The President was speaking at an event where he received the first copy of a book by Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao.
