Lt Gen SK Sahni visits supply depot

LIEUTENANT GENERAL SK Sahni, AVSM, Director General of Supplies and Transport (DGST) and Senior Colonel Commandant of Army Supply Corps visited Supply Depot of Allahabad sub-area on April 4 where he was received by Colonel Narinder Singh, Commanding Officer of the Supply Depot. This depot provides Logistic Supports including ration supply facilities to all the Army and Air Force Units located at Allahabad.

The General Officer commended the Commanding Officer and all ranks for the excellent standards being maintained by the depot and also visited the ration stores and other areas of the depot.

General Sahni later addressed a special Sainik Sammelan and urged all ranks to strive to attain higher standard so as to ensure effective and timely logistic support to the Armed Forces at all times.

The DGST later met Brigadier SS Yadav, Sub-Area Commander of Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Allahabad sub-area and other formation commanders and was briefed about the steps taken to improve the logistic set-up in the station, according to Wing Commander SM Sharma, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Defence, Allahabad, in a press release on Wednesday.
