An engineer by profession and a product of the Temple University, Philadelphia, USA, MM Pallam Raju, 44, was elected to the ninth Lok Sabha in 1989.
He was General Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee from 1995 to 2000 and was made a member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in 1997. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in May 2004.
