Officials in Malaysia apparently found music icon Madonna's leotard-clad performance at the recent Grammy Awards so provocative, that they banned it from been shown on Malaysian television.

A spokesperson for broadcaster 8TV network said that the performance had been banned from being televised because it wasn't 'suitable' for Malaysians.

"From our point of view, it wasn't suitable for our audiences," Contactmusic quoted the spokesperson, as saying.

Malaysia removed Madonna's duet with the virtual band Gorillaz from the broadcast, 12 hours after the 48th annual Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles.
