Man detained for raping daughter
A 13-year-old girl, second of five siblings, was raped by her father at Amar Vihar colony area of Loni, last week. Her mother lodged a police complaint in the case late on Monday night, police said. Peeyush Khandelwal reports.
A 13-year-old girl, second of five siblings, was raped by her father at Amar Vihar colony area of Loni, last week. Her mother lodged a police complaint in the case late on Monday night, police said.
The minor was alone at her residence on June 9 when her father, Gajender Kumar, overpowered and raped her, police said. "Her medical examination has confirmed injuries to her private parts. She is undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital," said assistant superintendent of police Amit Verma.
After the incident, the victim's mother took her to her parent's house in Noida. After she narrated the incident to them, her parents admitted the girl to a hospital in Delhi. They then asked her to lodge an FIR in the case. "She (victim's mother) has submitted a written complaint against her husband, who he has been detained at Loni police station. We are in the process of lodging an FIR against the accused," Verma said.
