Marijuana worth Rs 57 lakh, allegedly being smuggled to northern states, was seized today in Nagpur, police said.

The police, acting on a tip off that huge quantity of narcotic was being smuggled to northern state particular Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh via Nagpur, intercepted a truck from Andhra Pradesh which was carrying 950 kg of Marijuana stuffed neatly in 28 gunny sacks, they said.

The truck driver, Shrinivasan has been arrested and further investigation was on.
