DIG RN Yadav after recommendations of the SP (Chandauli) has dismissed them.

The constables are Santosh and Ramesh. It may be noted that Giri Nath Kol was shot dead by cops during an encounter at Cantonment area in Varanasi two three days back.

Earlier, he was lodged in the district jail in Varanasi in connection with several heinous cases of crime, including landmine blast in Hinaut at Naugarh of Chandauli in the year 2004, which claimed lives of several PAC jawans.

Kol had been taken to Chakia in Chandauli from the jail for being produced in a court there by two constables, Ramesh and Santosh on February 27. On return from Chakia, Kol managed to flee from judicial custody in the evening at Chaukaghat area here.

Cops had come on their toes following his escape. After a massive hunt, he was spotted by cops near Varanasi Cantonment railway station three days back and shot dead during an encounter.
