Medrecon ends with stress on records

SEVERAL RESEARCH papers emphasising on the role of medical record officers in hospitals were presented on the second and concluding day of Medrecon-2006 conference here yesterday.

The conference was organised by Choithram Hospital and Research Centre and Health Records Association of India. On the occasion, Dr Kamlakar Vaidya presented a research paper on ‘morality and medical record’.

Other research papers presented at the programme emphasised on the role of medical record officers in hospitals. A special group discussion was also organised during the programme. Former director of Harikishandas Hospital (Mumbai) Dr S K P Matawankar presided over the programme and also solved queries of the participants.

Chief guest Justice P D Mulye and advocate general Ramesh Chhajed, S S Jolly, Dr Norman Sharma and Dr Atul Adaniya were also present at the programme.

Health Record Association of India’s D Sanna Veerbhadrappa and Wilson Thayaji proposed the vote of thanks.
