BUILDING PERMISSION officials and experts from Shri Govindram Saxeria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) will convene a meeting on Monday to map out a schedule for the scrutiny of multiplexes.

The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) administration had appointed SGSITS engineers to verify whether the four upcoming multiplexes adhered to allotted site plan.

Although the team completed its assessment of three stories of Treasure Island, the MG Road multiplex, Mangal City, Sapna Sangeeta and an unnamed multiplex have yet to come under scrutiny.

The IMC administration had announced that verification of the remaining stories of Treasure Island and the three other multiplexes would commence “latest by the first week of January”.

At tomorrow’s meeting city engineer (Building Permission) Harbhajan Singh and the SGSITS team headed by head of the engineering department R Humad will chalk out a schedule for the verification process.

The meeting comes in the wake of an earlier missive by the Building Permission department to the engineering team urging it to speed up multiplex scrutiny.
