Meeting with Nepal king positive, says Karan

Karan said that the meeting was positive and that the king was receptive to India's suggestions.

Returning after having a meeting concerning the political crisis in Nepal with King Gyanendra, Karan Singh has said that the ball was now in the king's court.

"I am optimistic. I am hopeful that the king will make an announcement shortly. The ball is in his court," he said.

Karan said that the meeting was positive and that the king was receptive to India's suggestions.

Meanwhile, India has also condemned the killing of three protesters in the Himalayan kingdom on Thursday.
