Naaem, Irshad, Shadad and Naseem were arrested on Thursday on the basis of a tip-off for allegedly kidnapping and murdering seven year-old Bilal who had gone missing and whose father Margoob had filed a report with Sardhana police station on January 14 this year.

Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Sikera told reporters in Merrut last evening that a case of kidnapping was registered on February 2 after police failed to trace the boy.

A police team led by Sub-inspector Pawan Kumar Sharma arrested the four after a tip-off on Thursday and they led the police to the spot where they had disposed off the body after killing him, Sikera said.

"The four of them had killed the boy on the day of the kidnapping itself but were demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh," he said.

Police have recovered body parts of the boy and his clothes, Sikera said, adding the case has been converted into a murder case.
