Minors raped by retired cop in New Delhi

Police said that the case came to light on Friday when the family of the victims registered a complaint about the incident that occurred on Wednesday.

A 68-year-old retired Delhi Police constable has been on the run after allegedly raping two minor girls whom he lured to his house earlier this week, officials in New Delhi said on Friday.

Police said that the case came to light on Friday when the family of the victims registered a complaint about the incident that occurred on Wednesday.

Both victims are Class 3 students of a government primary school at Mangolpuri area in northwest Delhi and the accused, Badan Singh, has been absconding since the incident occurred.

A medical examination of the victims, conducted at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, confirmed the rape, police officials said.

This was the fourth rape case in the city since the beginning of the year.
