Mukti Vyas is new ADC principal
INCHARGE OF women's wing of Allahabad Degree College (ADC) Dr Mukti Vyas has been appointed as the new Principal of the college. Dr Vyas was appointed as principal on Tuesday evening by the college administration following the sudden resignation of Dr Santosh Kumar Agarwal in the morning citing 'health reasons'. Dr Vyas is likely to take charge very soon.

Tuesday was a day of momentous occasions at ADC with Dr Santosh Kumar Agarwal suddenly stepping down from the post of principal amidst much chaos and the new principal being appointed immediately. The ongoing strike by non-teaching employees demanding action against one of their colleagues who reportedly misbehaved with a senior employee a few days back was also called off immediately after the resignation of Dr Agarwal.
Though Dr Agarwal has cited medical grounds for his resignation, insiders say, it is due to the pressure being exerted over him by the agitating employees wanting action against one of their colleagues that has forced Dr Agarwal to tender his resignation from the post. More or less the pressure mounted over Dr Agarwal due to delay in the admission process and the demonstrations held by the students to start the admission process is also one of the reasons behind his resignation.
Dr Vyas had been sincerely performing her duty as the incharge of ADC women's wing and expressed confidence in carrying out the responsibilities as the principal with same determination.
To restore the proper functioning of the college and accomplish the admissions on time are among the top priorities of Dr Vyas. She said, "We are set for the admission process and with the college staff resuming office, the sale of UG admission forms is likely to start from Thursday".
